This House & its estate have been in private
ownership for over five hundred years.
The House has been owned by the Cooke family for
three generations Patrick & Andrea Cooke now run Athelhampton
and they have managed much of the restoration and improvement you
see today.
These pages will other an overview of the House,
Gardens and other areas including the Toll House, Coach House and
River Walk. Each section is concise and gives an overview of each
room or area.
To fully appreciate Athelhampton, a visit is
recommended but if you are unable to do so, then please order our
Guide Book from the Online
Shop. The guide book has specific references to the
paintings, furniture, carpets and displays around the house.
