Spring has sprung at Athelhampton

At last sunshine! Which has encouraged lots of new growth and spring blooms to finally open around the Gardens of Athelhampton. The daffodils have been especially late this year due to the cooler temperatures but have been well worth waiting for!

We look forward to more colour exploding as the warm weather continues, the roses are especially heavenly in the Summer months and add not only and abundance of colour to the gardens but also a lovely aroma.

The gardens are designed with each “room” having a colour theme, from yellow tones on the Terrace and The Great Court (also known as the pyramid garden)  that lead to deep purples and aubergines in the Corona, Queen Victoria walk is an abundance of purples and bright and soft pinks in the later spring months. The Rose gardens is filled with lots of soft yellows and white tones. We are looking forward to the development of the kitchen garden, which will bring even more colour, aroma and texture which will not only add to the aesthetics of our grounds but also create an abundance of produce that will be utilised in our restaurant.

If you are looking for a country house wedding venue in Dorset then why not come and visit Athelhampton for yourself you won’t be disappointed!
